Although everyone should be using Notepad++, there’s always a chance you have to use Windows Notepad (at a customers place, for example).

Here are some Notepad tips and tricks to make your intimate moments with Notepad a lot easier:

The SysinternalsSuite contains a large number of tools, like autologon, filemon, regmon and processmonitor. The funny utilities like BlueScreen are not included in the download SysinternalsSuite, but can still be downloaded from Sysinternals Utilities: Miscellaneous

Although there are many (freeware) tools to mount ISO, I always suggest MagicISO for mounting ISO files. MagicISO is freeware, runs stable and has many features.

During a copy of a bunch of files with Windows Explorer, you can get the following error:
Error Moving File or Folder: Cannot move file.ext: It is being used bij another person or program. Close any programs that might be using the file and try again

With Outlook 2007, Desktop Search / Instant Search is promoted by notifying you with a pop-up and a button / pane. The pane will have the text “Click here to enable Instant Search”. Because some people believe this search slows down your computer, it may be a wish to turn the Desktop Search off and remove notification to enable Instant Search:
