Recover hard deleted items in Outlook

outlooklogoWhen you have hard deleted emails or appointments from Outlook, you can recover them with the dumpster. By default, the dumpster is activated only in your “Deleted items” folder. This means that, when you go to your “Deleted items” folder, and you delete an email that is in that specific folder, you can recover it with the dumpster. The dumpster is accessible by clicking Tools -> Deleted Items Recovery.

Disable or enable recover deleted items in Outlook 2003 without Group Policy

xplogoIf you want to disable the dumpster (recover deleted items) for your users, you can use the Group Policy. If you can use the Group Policy, I would suggest that. Click here for a manual.

Old appointments are gone in Outlook 2007 or Outlook 2003

When you have turned on Auto Archiving, Outlook automatically archives all your calendar items, older than x months. Typically, Outlook saves your calendar items to archive.pst.
