Waiting for groupmanager.e at shutdown or reboot

After a couple of weeks working with Windows 7, a message suddenly appeared during shutdown of my computer:

Waiting for groupmanager.e

Because of my intuitive brain, I guessed groupmanager.e should be read as groupmanager.exe. A quick search on Google Bing (as I’m a Microsoft minded technician :) ) will lead you to hundreds of pages remarking groupmanager.exe to be a trojan horse.

Well, it may come as a surprise to you, but MY groupmanager.exe was a trojan too :) .

If you have the same groupmanager problem: Install an antivirus scanner as soon as possible and get that executable cleaned.

For a free virus scanner, I can advice AVG to you: http://free.avg.com/us-en/download?prd=afg

    AVG doesn’t find it.
