Restore TIFF filetype association after migration to Office 2007

When you doubleclick a TIF or TIFF, Windows asks you what program to use to open the file. This is behavior by design. Disable system beeps in VMWare Workstation

After installing Windows Server 2008 (Longhorn) on a Virtual Machine, a system beep kept annoying me. The beep occurred with every system event.
There are two possibilities: turn it off for one session, or turn it off for good.
